Ingredients:
- Minced meat (pref. lamb)
- Onion
- Carrots
- Worchester sauce
- Olive oil
- Thyme
- Rosamary
- Chickin stock
- Tomato puree
- Potatoes
- Eggs
- Parmesan cheese (generous amounts)
Key points:
- Get rid of unwanted fat. Greasy pie is bad!
- Grate the vegetables. They disintegrate and intergrate with minced meat.
- Adding parmesan makes the potatoes nice and golden.
- Cook minced meat in a pan in olive oil. Meanwhile cook potatoes to be mashed later.
- Add in grated onion and carrots.
- Add worchester, tomato puree, and red wine.
- Add thyme and rosemary.
- Add chicken stock and let it simmer for 3-4 minutes.
- Mash and season the potatoes.
- Add egg yolks and parmesan to the potatoes and stir it up.
- Put potato mix on top of the mince, and fork the top.
- 18-20 minutes in the oven.
